Abby is moving around the room during our Noun Hunt. Students had to find picture cards hidden around the room and determine if the card contained a person, place, or thing.

Mari and Abby are playing a game during Math Group called "Place Value Wars". This card game reinforceswhat we have been learning about place value in math. The cards have Star Wars characters on them and were a huge hit with the class.
Luca has won a round during "Place Value Wars".
Trent explores Brain Pop Jr. during Tech Time in our Math Daily 5 time.
Erin and Erin work on addition and subtraction facts with a fun color by code sheet featuring Yoda, one of our favorite Star Wars characters.
Abby records the time from the mini clock onto her "I Spy" recording sheet. Students were able to move around the room to find various clocks displaying different times. Their job was to write the time on their recording sheet.

As you can see, we have been very busy in Room 17! I hope you have enjoyed this little peek into our classroom from the first few weeks of school!
